(Newser) – Kanye West has been out of the headlines for [checks notes] at least six days, but a tweet about fast food has catapulted him right back into the thick of it. Fox News reports on Ye's latest kerfuffle, which started when he posted a brief message to his Twitter fans on Sunday morning: "McDonald's is my favorite restaurant." Someone in the Burger King UK office must've been surveying the internet from across the pond, because shortly after came a snarky response to West from that account: "Explains a lot."

Fox features some of the responses to the BK diss, which spun off into viral territory; as of Tuesday morning it had more than 680,000 likes and 180,000 retweets. HuffPost, meanwhile, notes that commenters have remarked on another high-profile name who's also a Mickey Dee's fan: Donald Trump. We checked Kim K's tweets, and she hasn't recently weighed in on her own casual-eating preferences—but she has in the past. (Pranking McDonald's paid off for these friends.)
