An incredibly lucky South Carolina woman is sharing her jackpot with city, state, and charity. The winner of an $878 million Mega Millions payout has already given some of her winnings to charities including the Ronald McDonald House in Columbia and the Red Cross relief fund for recent Alabama tornado victims, CBS News reports. Now she's giving some to Greenville, where she happened to be visiting when she dropped by a KC Mart to buy the winning ticket, per WCSC-TV. Some will go to South Carolina as well.

The lottery winner took 131 days to claim her ticket as she talked to financial planners and lawyers, partly to help her manage the windfall. She also chose to accept a single sum of $878 million rather than 30 years of payments totaling $1.5 billion. And whoever she is remains unknown—she has decided to remain anonymous in order "to live a life of relative normalcy, free of fear," her lawyer says. (See how "a simple act of kindness" helped her to win.)
