"I did and then I got fired," a reference to not getting a contract offer, reports the AP.

Appearing before a audience that had one notable absence - Willie Mays - Bonds mused "I don't work there anymore" when asked how he would improve the team. Despite that, the all-time home run leader left a little wiggle room for a possible return to the Giants, saying things could change with owner Peter Magowan.
