Celebrity | Bristol Palin Bristol Slams Margaret Cho for DWTS Claims No one forced her to do the show, she insists By Evann Gastaldo Posted Dec 5, 2010 2:32 PM CST Copied "Dancing with the Stars" finalists, Bristol Palin, left, and Mark Ballas dance on ABC's "Good Morning America" in New York, Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010. (AP Photo/Charles Sykes) Bristol Palin decided to compete on Dancing With the Stars because she wanted to try something new—and, she writes on Facebook, because she thought it would be good exercise. "Notably absent from this calculus were political considerations," she says in a post that refutes fellow contestant Margaret Cho's recent claim that Sarah forced her daughter to do the show. "Let me shamelessly steal from Saturday Night Live," Bristol continues. "'Really, Margaret? Really?'" She gives Cho points "for getting so many 'facts' wrong in so few sentences," insisting that she alone was responsible for the decision—and adding that her mom doesn't blame her, as Cho claimed, "for anything that occurred in the 2008 election—much less 'harshly' and 'openly.'" She ends with the request that her "friend" not rely on "'sources' who claim to know me or my family. You will be taken every time." Click here for more on Cho's original claims.
