(AP Photo/Albert Facelly, Sipa Press) First, Iman al-Obeidi was hauled off and perhaps held hostage after accusing members of Moammar Gadhafi's militia of rape—now, she's being sued. “Oh, yeah, they have filed a [civil] case,” a government spokesperson tells the New York Times. "The boys who she accused of rape are bringing a case because it is a very grave offense to accuse someone of a sexual crime.” He also says al-Obeidi's case against the men was dropped because she would not undergo a medical exam.
