(AP Photo) The father of renowned family piano group The 5 Browns has been sentenced to a minimum of 10 years in jail for sexually abusing his three daughters when they were children. Keith Brown pleaded guilty to three counts of abuse but the judge, who described Brown as a pedophile and a danger to society, said there could have been many more charges stemming from his abuse of the girls in the '90s, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. "I think it’s obvious a home should be a refuge and a safe place—and that a parent should be a protector," the judge told Brown. The 55-year-old could have faced a much longer sentence but his daughters, who continue to perform with their two brothers in the renowned classical group, consented to the lighter one. His daughters reported the abuse to authorities after learning that their father intended to mentor other young musicians. Read These Next Amy Coney Barrett weighs in a possible third Trump term.
