Newt Gingrich isn't worried about the allegedly devastating interview given by his ex-wife that ABC is set to air tonight—or at least, that's what he told Today this morning, dismissing the "16- and 20-year-old stories" she might tell. "I’m not going to say anything negative about Marianne," he said, though he added that his daughters "have sent a letter to the president of ABC News, saying from a family perspective, they think this is totally wrong."

Asked if Marianne, who once boasted that she could destroy Gingrich with a single TV interview, was a credible judge of his character, Gingrich was evasive. "I think that my two daughters are very credible on my character," he said. "I think we have lot of folks willing to speak about this. I'm not going to. People will have to judge me. I'm a 68-year-old grandfather." (More Newt Gingrich stories.)
