Media | Donald Trump Trump Suing Bill Maher Over Orangutan Bet The Donald says he did in fact prove he's not the son of an orangutan By Evann Gastaldo Posted Feb 4, 2013 8:57 AM CST Updated Feb 4, 2013 10:48 AM CST Copied In this Sept. 27, 2012 file photo, Donald Trump arrives for the opening ceremony at the Ryder Cup PGA golf tournament at the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Ill. (AP Photo/David J. Trump did just that, he said today on Fox & Friends. But Maher "didn’t pay. So today I sue Bill Maher for $5 million for charity." Maher's bet was, of course, a mocking reference to Trump's offer of $5 million to a charity of President Obama's choice if the president released his college records. But Trump (whose lawyer released a letter along with Trump's birth certificate stating that it proves "he is the son of Fred Trump, not an orangutan," according to Politico) doesn't think Maher was joking: "He said it with venom. ... In fact, he was nervous when he said it." Read These Next A "horrific" incident killed 3 deputies in East Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel isn't happy to see Stephen Colbert go.
