A statement from the office of President Jacob Zuma says the 94-year-old Mandela was discharged today after a "sustained and gradual improvement in his general condition" and will receive care at his home. The former South African president was admitted to a hospital in the South African capital of Pretoria on March 27, his third trip to a hospital since December.
