When Gilbert Arenas went down early in the season Washington rallied around Caron Butler; now with Butler out with a strained hip flexor the Wizards got a lift from a relative unknown, Andray Blatche. The 21-year-old Blatche scored 19 points in Washington’s 108-104 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors. Antawn Jamison led the Wizards with 24 points and 20 rebounds, reports the Associated Press.

Toronto trailed by as many as 12 points in the fourth quarter. They pulled even when Anthony Parker hit a three-pointer as time expired in regulation to even the score at 95-95, but the extra period belonged to the Wizards, who improved to 24-19 on the season. Chris Bosh led Toronto with 37 points and 12 rebounds.
