Police in Washington state are investigating the murder of a woman with a cruel twist—her killer is believed to have posted photos of her body on the online forum 4chan, reports NBC News. Police say the body of 30-year-old Amber Lynn Coplin was found yesterday in her Port Orchard apartment by her 13-year-old son. Before the discovery, someone posted photos of the body along with a comment about strangulation, and when other forum members questioned its authenticity, the following message appeared, reports KIRO-TV:

  • "Check the news for Port Orchard Washington in a few hours. Her son will be home from school soon. He'll find her, then call the cops. I just wanted to share the pics before they find me. I bought a BB gun that looks realistic enough. When they come, I'll pull it and it will be suicide by cop. I understand the doubts. Just check the f------ news. I have to lose my phone now."

Police have identified David Michael Kalac, 33, as a suspect. He lived with Coplin, and neighbors reported hearing a loud fight the night before her death. Officers spotted her missing car today in Portland, but the driver eluded them after swerving into oncoming traffic, reports the Seattle Times. Investigators say that messages such as "she killed me first" were written on the victim's bedroom wall and blinds. Her driver's license was found beside her head, with the word "dead" written on it.
