Bill Aims to Force ObamaCare on SCOTUS

A lot of Republicans are pretty angry about the Supreme Court's 6-3 decision to uphold ObamaCare subsidies, perhaps none more so than Rep. Brian Babin. The Texas Republican has introduced a bill that contains what he apparently believes is fitting punishment for the justices: forcing them and other Supreme Court employees to sign up for ObamaCare. Babin calls it the "SCOTUScare Act," quoting Justice Antonin Scalia, who grumbled in his dissent that we "should start calling this law SCOTUScare," the Hill reports.

"As the Supreme Court continues to ignore the letter of the law, it's important that these six individuals understand the full impact of their decisions on the American people," Babin said in a statement, referring to the six judges who voted to uphold subsidies. "By eliminating their exemption from ObamaCare, they will see firsthand what the American people are forced to live with!" Members of Congress are already required to obtain health care coverage through ObamaCare exchanges as the bill would require Supreme Court employees to do, Politico notes.
