A police search around railroad tracks in New Haven, Conn., has yielded two legs, one arm, no head, no torso, and a lot of questions. A homeless man led police to the area where the severed legs were found in thick vegetation yesterday, and the arm was later found on a ledge under a bridge a few blocks away, the New Haven Register reports. Police say they don't know the race, age, or gender of the victim—or even if the limbs are all from the same person—but they are reasonably sure this wasn't a train accident, especially since the arm was in a bag. Investigators suspect the remains could be from a crime in another jurisdiction and are checking missing-person reports from other areas, WTNH reports. (More New Haven stories.)
