The AP asked the actor about it in an email exchange, specifically posing questions "on whether it was appropriate for him to submit his story to Guzman for approval in advance of publication, or whether he took adequate information and operational security measures to protect his source." Well, Penn didn't have anything to say about those questions, but he did respond with the following sentence: "I've got nothin' to hide."
