McGrady had made just 4 of 15 shots when he re-entered the game in the fourth quarter and caught fire, scoring 10 of his 23 points down the stretch. "I just couldn't afford to have us lose this game so I just put my will on it," said McGrady, who also had 11 rebounds and nine assists. The Rockets had 58 rebounds, led by Luis Scola with 18. Mutumbo had eight rebounds on a night when the team celebrated his career and his contributions. Minnesota was held to 42.9% shooting.
