(AP Photo/Alessandra Tarantino) Rose McGowan, a leader in the #MeToo movement, has drawn criticism after tweeting that people should "be gentle" to her friend and Harvey Weinstein accuser Asia Argento, who has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy five years ago, CNN reports. "None of us know the truth and I'm sure more will be revealed," McGowan tweeted. But plenty of people are now accusing her of hypocrisy. This tweeted response sums up the bulk of the criticism aimed in her direction: "The sheer hypocrisy of this! You staunchly claimed that all victims should be believed and crucified men. … Yet suddenly when its a female abuser you want people to 'be gentle' and insist there must be more to the story. What a joke." Argento, who claims her accuser is lying, ultimately paid him $380,000. Read These Next Deal to fund Homeland Security looks doomed. A House Democrat faces expulsion on ethics charges.
