Women now make up almost a quarter of Congress' voting members, the highest percentage ever—but that doesn't seem as impressive when you take into account that women make up more than half of the US population. WalletHub makes that note to underscore there's still a long way to go in achieving gender parity across the board, and it takes a look at how women are doing in each state. The site examined two dozen metrics in two key categories: "Economic and Social Well-Being" and "Health and Safety," analyzing everything from a state's median earnings for female workers and their unemployment stats to their obesity, depression, and homicide rates. Here, the 10 states where women fare best:
