Here are three women who could stand for John McCain’s vice-presidential slot, per Politico: Carly Fiorina: The former Hewlett-Packard exec is already a trusted adviser and constant McCain surrogate, but she’s no social conservative and has no foreign-policy expertise. CEOs aren’t too popular during recessions, either. Sarah Palin: The immensely popular Alaskan governor, 44, is a fiscal and social conservative’s dream, having stood up against pork and abortion. She’s a hunter, a fisher, a basketball star and a beauty pageant winner. The youth factor is good, but insiders don’t like her lack of national profile and foreign-policy experience. Kay Bailey Hutchison: The Texas senator is a McCain friend and defender, but she’s no natural campaigner and is a Big Oil-boosting social moderate. Also, like the others, she has no foreign-policy background. Read These Next Mark Zuckerberg's 'list' has Silicon Valley buzzing. IAEA chief downplays damage to Iran nuclear sites.
