There are places to be, and places to flee. The 2025 PODS Moving Trends Report takes a look at the cities where Americans are most often pulling up stakes, as well as the cities where they're most often putting down new roots. There's a clear exodus from large, expensive cities on both coasts, notes USA Today, and a definite influx in the Southeast, with Tennessee and North Carolina taking up nearly half of the top 20 cities by themselves. Without further ado, the destination cities, and the cities in the rearview, along with their 2024 ranking:

  7. Boise, Idaho (No. 11)
  8. Knoxville, Tennessee (No. 8)
  9. Nashville, Tennessee (No. 13)
  10. Jacksonville, Florida (No. 9)
