Earlier this month, the Philadelphia Phillies lost a game thanks to an incredibly rare inside-the-park home run, only the third such "walk-off" hit ever. Now the Phillies have won a game thanks to an even rarer walk-off play: this one involving ... catcher interference. The last time it happened was in 1971, reports the Athletic.

  • Edmundo Sosa was at bat in the bottom of the 10th in a tie game with the bases loaded, explains MLB.com. On a 1-2 pitch, the glove of catcher Carlos Narvaez touched Sosa's bat. He complained, the umps reviewed, and the game was over.
  • "To be honest, this just feels exactly like a home run," Sosa said afterward.
