Crushing returns capped the 6-3 6-4 victory that wins her a face-off against Ana Ivanovic. Williams, who has played only occasionally this season and was seeded 28th, is trying to become the lowest seed ever to win Wimbledon. Meanwhile, sister Serena, who suffered severe cramping in her fourth-round match that had her rolling on the ground, responded to flak from a BBC commentator that she exaggerated her injury. "I've never been over-dramatic in my whole career," she said. In men's action, Roger Federer's quarterfinal match was suspended due to rain.
