Olbermann to Prez: Stop Scapegoating, Start Fighting

A war of words over the Iraq war that erupted this week nominally involves only a Pentagon underling and Hillary Clinton, but MSNBC's Keith Olbermann finds a message for President Bush in the back-and-forth. Accusing the administration of scapegoating both the senator and antiwar citizens, he calls for Bush to "go to Baghdad now" and fight the war himself.

A letter from a Defense Department official suggesting Clinton "reinforces enemy propaganda" by raising the issue of troop withdrawal set the "Countdown" anchor off.  He blasts the "utter, blinkered idiocy" of staying the course in a war launched by an administration with a “jump-off-a-bridge-and-hope-you-can-fly” attitude. Addressing Bush directly, he adds: "You have guaranteed yourself tonight not honor, but infamy."
