UCLA's high expectations were dashed yesterday as Utah (1-2) stymied the Bruins' offense and embarrassed their defense, reports the Los Angeles Times. UCLA quarterback Brian Olsen threw three interceptions and was sacked five times, and his receiver Marcus Everett added to the pain by fumbling a touchdown dive for a touchback.

Utah, missing its starting quarterback, instead used Tommy Grady for passing plays and Corbin Loukes for running, to landslide success. Grady threw for 246 yards, and Darrell Mack put up 107 rushing yards for Loukes.  Olsen summed up the game simply, admitting: "We came out and looked awful the whole day. I looked awful."
