Politics | James Inhofe Inhofe: Hey, I'm the Planet's Worst Enemy! Senator upset with No. 7 ranking By Kevin Spak Posted Jan 15, 2010 12:14 PM CST Copied In this Aug. 27, 2008 file photo, U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe ranked No. 7 on Rolling Stone’s list of the “planet’s worst enemies,” and he’s hopping mad about it: He thinks he deserved to be first. “I should have been number one, not number 7,” the Oklahoma Republican tells the Tulsa World. “I am serious about that. I have spent now literally years on this thing, and it has been a long involved thing.” He was happy, however, that the magazine credited him with being “one of the GOP’s loudest and most influential voices on climate change,” and with “diminishing America’s bargaining position at the Copenhagen climate negotiations.” Of course, the headline on the article is “You Idiots!” so maybe those weren't compliments, but Inhofe doesn’t care. “If you don’t have truth on your side… you have to revert to name calling,” he says.
