And ex-Bush aide Matt Latimer, writing for the Daily Beast, has some advice on how she can win: Explain why she quit: Right now it looks like she fled when the going got tough so she could focus on her book deal and television career. Not good. Ignore DC strategists: They’ll try to turn her into one of those “PowerPoint candidates armed with focus-grouped talking points. Just be yourself and let the voters decide if that’s good enough.” Don’t ignore policy experts: Surround yourself with smarter people; it’ll make you a better leader. Send Tina Fey a thank you card: Every time comedians make fun of Palin, they’re just lowering expectations, making her look better. Run against the GOP establishment: “Contrary to the delusional hopes of party strategists,” voters still don’t like Republicans.
