Celebrity | Jennifer Aniston Jen Just Too Old for Rom-Coms It's time to rethink your career choices—and love life By Evann Gastaldo Posted Apr 1, 2010 10:26 AM CDT Copied Actress Jennifer Aniston, left, and actor Gerard Butler, right, arrive for the German Premiere of the movie "The Bounty Hunter" in Berlin, Germany, March 29, 2010. (AP Photo/Gero Breloer) Bounty Hunter is well on its way to being a flop, just like Jennifer Aniston’s last two romantic comedies (Management, sigh)—which means it's probably time for a new career direction. “She's aged out, no matter the yoga and the highlights. She just can't do America's sweetheart next door. She needs a big wake-up call,” one film critic tells the New York Post. So why not transition to action or thrillers? “You don't go from Friends to Transformers,” a producer says. Unfortunately, she has two more romantic comedies coming out before she actually does try her hand at something different—a prison musical. She should also take another look at her love life, the critic adds: “Her taste in men, it's totally off. John Mayer? Gerard Butler? She's missing a common-sense gene.” Read These Next Venezuela responds to the US seizure of an oil tanker. Hours after Michigan fired its football coach, he was in jail.
