Navy Tops Pitt in OT Scorefest

Pitt and Navy traded scores throughout last night's game, staying within seven points of each other into double overtime, until the Midshipmen finally broke away with a 48-45 victory. The two overpowering offenses ruled the game until Pitt's final possession, when Navy took the game by preventing a 4th-and-2 touchdown, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Navy racked up 331 rushing yards to Pitt's 227, while freshman Pitt quarterback Pat Bostick outpassed Navy counterpart Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada, 191 yards to 166. Kaheaku-Enhada nearly doubled his yards, however, by rushing for 122. The loss, Pitt's fourth straight, will likely drop the team from bowl contention, and casts doubts on coach Dave Wannstedt's leadership.
